Rotary has a worldwide goal of eradicating polio through our Polio Plus program. Our members are active participates in this program. Learn more.
We have also provided significant manpower, as well as funding, to build the new Rotary Park in Waynesboro. Learn more.
The Rotary Club of Waynesboro is partnering with a PA Non-Profit Organization – Clean Water Kenya – to raise funds to support the purchase of water filters and rain barrels for the Maasai village people in eastern Kenya’s Rift Valley.
Every year, Rotarians from our club participate in the National Education Association’s “Read Across America” Day by visiting Waynesboro schools and reading to students.
Volunteers from our Rotary club remove over 30 bags of trash from Waynesboro roadways every year. We were recognized by PennDOT with a 25 Year Participant Award.
The Four-Way Test is a moral test Rotarians use for all that they think, say, or do. Our club sponsors a student to participate in a District-wide speech competition that applies these principals. Learn more.
Every year, we donate over 400 dictionaries to Waynesboro students to help them in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners. Learn more.
Our club hosts the annual event “Battle of the Minds,” a live trivia game at Green Grove Gardens. The evening includes an open bar, dinner, a 50-50, silent and live auctions, and the Battle. The proceeds are used to support local community organizations – this year it’s Mainstreet Waynesboro. Learn more.
Each year the Rotary Club of Waynesboro offers three levels of scholarships to students of Waynesboro Senior High School. One is need based, one is merit based, and the final one is for Vocational and Technical training. Learn more.
